Gigantic consists of:

• Heidi Cotton – Lead Vocals
• Rich Cotton – Bass and Vocals
• Mick Somerset – Drums and Vocals
• Tony Leake – Guitar

We first starting playing together in 2009. Four friends, all experienced from playing in different bands for many years, decided to get together to have fun playing and performing music.  Our original remit was to play ‘edgy covers,’ and over the years we’ve tried to stick to that.  We’ve always tried to have a healthy mix of old favorites and songs that you don’t often hear a covers band playing.  

Over the next 7 years we played in pubs, clubs, festivals, weddings and corporate events.  At our core we consider ourselves to be a pub and festival band. We are much more interested in playing to music lovers than to follow the money.

In 2016 we decided to call it a day. Work and family commitments meant that it was difficult to keep things going.  Mick played with a couple of other bands, Heidi and Rich did some side projects and Tony kept his hand in playing a few gigs with a pop up band.

During lockdown Richard and Heidi were reflecting on what is important in life and realized how much they missed the Gigantic days. Doing something you love with your mates ranked very highly for them.  Two very quick phone calls along the lines of “we’d love to play together again, you in?” and Gigantic was reformed. Since they we’ve been back gigging as much as we can, as well as rethinking the set.
